Week 2 of The Gratitude Blog Series
The book signing of “Surgery Day” at Barnes and Noble went better than we could’ve ever expected. Last Sunday morning, 4/29/18, I woke up unsure if anyone other than our families were going to show up. I was so nervous. I literally threw up in the Barnes & Noble parking lot.
Fact is, we had a great turnout. Our guest reader, Jace, read our book two different times to a standing room only crowd that day. As the day wore on, I felt much better from the appreciation of the crowd.
To get the word out about the reading of “Surgery Day” I went to schools my children attend/attended to talk with the principals to see if they’d hand out flyers to their students for us. As awkward as this was I was given their blessing. A big shout out to Ron Nunn, Apple Tree and Celebration’s for spreading the word and thank you to all of the teachers, students and their parents for coming to the reading!
To all of our friends, (you know who you are), neighbors and guests who showed up to learn about “Surgery Day” we graciously thank you.
To everyone for taking the time out of your day to support Julie and me, thank you. We truly felt the love and feel so grateful.
Stay tuned for my next installment of the Gratitude Blog Series.
